Letter From The Editor
By Libby Parent- Editor in Chief
Well, this is it. I am leaving good ole' SNHU on May 16, 2009. It is crazy for me to think about when I first came here. As I look at all the freshmen on my lacrosse team, it seems like that was me only a few weeks ago, rather than four years in the past. How is that possible? Luckily, I have decided to go on to complete a master's degree at Emerson College and put off a real-world job just a little bit longer.
Through my four years a member of the Observer, I have evolved from my nonsense monthly rant column to acting as account executive to the position of Editor in Chief. I have learned a significant amount from my work with the paper, and I have also established friendships that I may never have found had I not been involved
In hopes of not becoming too emotional, I want to keep this letter short. I would like to extend a thank you to everyone who has contributed to the newspaper, either through readership or contribution, the staff, and our advisor, Judy Timney. We have come a long way from our eight page issues in 2006, and now we proudly sport a website to accompany our 28 to 32 page issues. The hard work and dedication of all those involved has enabled us to produce a respectable publication that successfully covers relevant, newsworthy topics.
I wish the best of luck to the new editorial staff and writers. I look forward to picking up an issue on Alumni weekend. Thank you again, be safe, rock on.
